The Baidar Tamarin can be found in a restricted area in the Brazilian rainforest Amazon as well as within and just north of the city limits of Manaus, the capital of Amazon Brazil. Because of the destruction of their natural habitat, species are at risk. There also appears to be a rivalry between the Tamarin Bidi and the red drill, with the latter displacing Tamarin from historic distribution areas.
