Photographer Traveled the World to Take Photos of Animals That Might Soon Be Extinct

This monkey is a settler on the island of Borneo in Southeast Asia and can be found in all three countries that share this island: Indonesia, Brunei and Malaysia. It is most common around the island's rivers, coastal areas, mangroves, and swamps.
These species are classified as threatened. Their number has decreased by 50% in the past 36-40 years. The loss of habitat was the main reason for the significant decline in its population. The second reason is hunting because the meat of this monkey is used in Chinese medicine. At present, monkey hose can only be found in protected areas and designated sanctuaries.
