The timeless jellyfish


A small group of common jellyfish is known as "Turitopsis dohmei", or as it is referred to as timeless jellyfish. These jellyfish have found a strange way to survive forever by reversing the aging process. According to National Geographic , if these jellyfish are exposed to disease or injury, they return to their embryonic stages within three days, as their cells turn into younger cells, and eventually grow up to reach adulthood again

There is a debate in the scientific community about whether lobsters are biologically immortal animals, and why their death is usually due to disease, not aging. It is estimated that the lobster that once conquered the coast of Newfoundland was 140 years old, and most of them were alive in the early 1930s. While females, on average, live 54 years. Lobsters can reproduce throughout their life until they die.
